The minor in Photographic Studies is administered through the Art Department. Any Chico State student may pursue the degree. It is especially popular among students studying in Communication Design and Journalism. Here is the catalog description with course requirements.
Please note: ARTH 484 History of Photography is a required course. It is normally offered once a year in the Spring semester. Please keep this in mind when planning your course of study.
Also note: ARTS 122 "2-D Design" - a required course - was formerly called "Color Theory." It doesn't matter whether you took the class under the old name, or the new one, just so long as you take ARTS 122.
